Linda is a highly respected and seasoned Senior Court Attorney in Poughkeepsie City Court. She is a former trial attorney, prosecutor, and defense attorney who has successfully worked with people from all backgrounds, walks of life, and political affiliations.

Admitted to the United States Supreme Court and United States Federal District Court, Linda is an accomplished attorney with Supreme Court Jury Trial experience, City & Justice Court experience, and has had more than 40 decisions published in the NY Law Reporting Bureau.

Linda was born in Rhinebeck. The granddaughter of Irish and Italian immigrants, she is the youngest of six children. She developed a strong work ethic instilled in her by her father, a New York City police officer, and matured with the deeply held values she learned and had impressed upon her by her stay-at-home mother, who had devoted herself to raising their family. She and her husband, Richard, have raised their two children, Juliet & Sean, in Rhinebeck, with both attending the Rhinebeck Central School District.

Linda is a compassionate, dedicated, selfless mother and wife who has a demonstrated commitment to the Rhinebeck Community, including advancing the health and welfare of families and children by ensuring the recreational needs of our Rhinebeck youth and families were met. Linda has tirelessly served in countless volunteer and leadership roles on behalf of the Rhinebeck Community she loves. As an active volunteer for the Rhinebeck Soccer League for more than ten years, Burger Hill Land Steward, former member of the Rhinebeck Recreation Committee, and long-time volunteer of the Rhinebeck Relay for Life and American Cancer Society, Linda and her family have immersed themselves in the Rhinebeck community.

Professionally, Linda has instructed hundreds of her colleagues as a lecturer for continuing legal education programs and court employees. Linda Murray honors our laws, and our United States & New York State Constitutions. She is passionate about maintaining a high bar and ensuring that liberty and justice is served for all. Linda graduated from Pine Plains Central School and is a cum laude graduate of both Binghamton University and Albany Law School. Linda brings heart, intelligence, and integrity to everything she does.
